WEEKEND TIP #4: MIRAMONTE BAD GASTEIN

🇸🇰Dnešný víkendový tip bude zároveň tip na ideálny víkendový hideout. Keď sme hľadali niečo zaujímavé v Rakúsku, tak mi dve moje salzburské spojky nezávisle od seba poradili Hotel Miramonte. Poznajú náš štýl cestovania, a tak som vedel, že je dobre.

Bad Gastein je asi hodinu a pol od Salzburgu a patrí medzi moje najobľúbenejšie spoty na snowboarding. Hlavne stredisko Sportgastein, ktoré je freeride heaven. Miramonte je starší hotel, ktorý je ale strašne vkusne prerobený majiteľom – designerom. Všade coffee-table-books, art, veľa rôznych detailov. K tomu výhľad z izby na hory a príjemný wellness. V kuchyni šéfujú Slováci a slow-food jedlo bolo fakt super – bavili nás hlavne raňajky. A ako bonus po jazdení free soup & cakes celé poobedie.

Miramonte má skvelý vibe a určite sa sem vrátime. Bookovať inak odporúčam priamo cez ich web, kde sa dajú vychytať 4 noci za cenu 3, príp. 3 za 2 a pod. Just sayin’.

🇪🇺 This Weekend Tip is a tip for a weekend hideout in Austrian Alps. When we searched for something interesting, Miramonte popped up as a tip separately from two of my Salzburg connections. Both know well our style of traveling so we knew we’re on the right track.

Bad Gastein is about 1.5 hours drive from Salzburg and is one of my favorite snowboarding spots – mainly the resort Sportgastein which is a freeride heaven. Miramonte is an older hotel reconstructed by the owner – designer. Everywhere coffee-table-books, art, a lot of details. As a bonus the panorama view from the room and a great wellness area. The kitchen is in the hands of Slovak chefs and their slow-food cuisine was great. We mainly loved the breakfast – and the free soup&cake the whole afternoon.

Miramonte has an amazing vibe thanks to its staff and I’m sure we’ll be back. If I can recommend, book via their website and you can get a good deal such as 4 nights for 3 etc.
