Some people talk. Some people work. And some just quietly do.

Some people just talk. About stuff they might do and places they want to see. About big things that what would have happened if… For them, usually most of the people are useless idiots and they blame the circumstances.

Others just keep working. They work long hours and keep hiding in their blockhouses so nobody knows what they are working on. They never share their ideas. What if someone steals them? And you know what? In most cases, somebody does. Not exactly steals. It´s somebody else who brings a similar idea to the world and makes it happen before them. That of course makes them quit right away. They don´t think of making the “same” thing better; they give up. Then they take their next idea on the list and keep hiding and working again. Working on something we´ll never see a result of.

Then there is a group of people who just do. They share their ideas with others; they believe that ideas sharing generates new ones and better ones. But they also know when to stop talking so they can start doing. They know that the “right time” doesn´t come unless you make it come. And as Seth Godin says, they ship. They make things happen.

So what are you waiting for? Stop complaining and talking. Because, as James Allen said (in one of the 52 books I have been reading):

“A man only begins to be a man when he ceases to whine and revile; when he ceases to accuse others as the cause of his conditions, and builds himself up in strong and noble thoughts; ceases to kick against circumstances, but begins to use them as aids to his more rapid progress.”

So go. Ship. Make things happen.
